Happy Monday my friends, I've had this bucket list hanging out for a while. Mostly because I made it like the middle of August, but it seemed wrong to post amongst 90 degree weather with humidity to match. And also, because the thought of a hot PSL was enough to induce sweating. But now that the mornings are a little cooler, and the 90 degree days not so prevalent, I finally feel like fall is coming! So, here's my fall bucket list.
A list of all the little bits & pieces I love about fall. I managed to leave fall foliage hike off the list. OOPS! But, since I spend most weekends hiking at least a little bit, I figured it was a no brainer.
What's on your fall bucket list? Any good spiced wine recipes to share? Bonus points if I can dump it all in the crockpot! And also, who wants to have me over for Friendsgiving?
1 // Apple picking
2 // Homemade apple pie
3 // Pumpkin picking
4 // Make spiced wine
5 // Find the best fall foliage
6 // Make homemade Pumpkin Spice Lattes
7 // Go for a walk & step on ALL the crunchy leaves
8 // Attend a fall festival
9 // Friendsgiving (attend or host)
10 // Eat soup from a bread bowl
11 // Drink hot chocolate fireside

Mmmmmmm, drinking soup from a bread bowl sounds amazing right now after waking up to frost on my windshield at 5:00am.
ReplyDeleteMy friend makes this crazy fall sangria with white wine, a little caramel apple vodka, Fireball, apples, cinnamon, and a little bit of apple juice. She calls it Apple Pie Sangria!

I am FOR SURE looking forward to doing most of these things & I really want to go on a hike when the leaves turn. Really excited for Soregels! and my fall party! And - I'm always looking for a Friendsgiving since I don't go home for the holiday. YAY FALL!
ReplyDeletewe already have plan to visit the pumpkin patch and our annual town fair! so excited to see all the fall things (and eat them too).
ReplyDeleteAHH I love fall. I'm obsessed. I'm determined for Paul and I to find time to do some hiking in town. There's a few neat areas and I will probably stare at the colorful trees the entire time:)
ReplyDeleteGreat list! One of the things on my list is I definitely want to make more use of our patio and firepit this Fall.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for some good healthy pumpkin spice latte recipes. I need to try & make it myself.
ReplyDeleteAll the hikes and all the crunchy leaves for me too!
ReplyDeleteYou should absolutely go see the Grand Canyon's fall foliage!! It's amazing! It's like a painting!!
ReplyDeleteI have fall festivals on my list for fall, National Apple Harvest Festival, Corn Maze and Harry Potter Festival! I am ready to rock this fall thing!
I like making spiced wine in the crock pot. Yum!

I wish I could get excited for fall but at this point I'm losing any hope that we're going to have one. We still can't get a full 7 days without highs creeping back into the 70s, and I'm wondering if it's literally going to go from 70 degrees to 40 overnight, the foliage is going to vanish in one fell swoop, and we are going to go straight to winter and stay there until April.
ReplyDeleteBut I hope I'm wrong, and best of luck on your list this season! Did you end up completing everything on your spring and summer lists?
Your fall bucket list looks PERFECT! We're planning on having a friendsgiving this year so if you want to come all the way to Australia and celebrate Thanksgiving in the Spring, I'll save you a seat! ;)
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled to see Autumn Squash soup on the menu at Panera again. They have great bread bowls too. Now, I want to eat it every day! We enjoy the fair which has always been held for 10 days in October. For the first time ever, they moved it to November. The weather will be much better, I think. Have fun checking off that list. Thanks for linking, Jessie!
ReplyDeleteFall is definitely one of my favorite times of the year. I need to figure out where to go picking apples and pumpkins...I always see everyone else do it, haha!
ReplyDeletestepping on crunchy leaves is the best! i have never had soup in a bread bowl. i should try that!
ReplyDeleteDo you mind if I just steal your bucket list? Sounds perfect :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still a little in denial that it's fall because I'm just not ready. However, I really want to take a day to visit one of our state parks when the leaves change and have a bunch of people over for a football game and maybe a bonfire.
ReplyDeleteI am digging your goals . . . they are fun and so very fall! And fancy graphic - high five for making that too! Looks like you're going to have a great end of 2016!
