Is it just me, or did the long weekend mess with everyone's head & leave them with no idea what day it is??? Okay - glad it's not just me. So, apparently today is Friday, which is a good thing because I have been over this week since my Tuesday morning alarm went off. I'm not sure what my deal is, but work has been a drag, the gym sounds like a bore and I generally don't want to do anything, which is pretty unlike me.
I'm hoping some fun weekend plan will help me snap out of it. I'm all set to go to Erie for a day-trip tomorrow with a friend, and should get to ride my bike there while she roller-blades. The BF is helping a friend with some maintenance projects this weekend, so I'm flying solo.
Let's hop into some Friday Five. Here's a few things I was up to this week. I hope you'll join in in the comments & let me know what's happening in your world!

I headed to a new to me city park with my friend Stef last weekend. We took the pup, & explored the dog park before we headed out on some trails. We ended at a picnic bench under some trees just chatting until we finally had to head home.
P.S. I originally shared this on Instagram - I'm starting to get more active there. You can follow me if you like @15minutes_late

Tacos for the win // another share from Instagram. But seriously. I couldn't get enough of these tacos this week. I'm usually a soft flour tortilla kind of gal, but I spied these corn tortillas in the store & decided to give them a chance. They're a bit lower calorie, which means, more tacos. You know, basic taco math. And more tacos is always a good thing.

Ignore the sketchy picture quality...obviously there was a screen in my way. But, the neighbors cat won't stop staring at me. Legit, every time I've walked over to my window this week this cat has been staring me down. As someone who believes cats are pretty much out to get us, I'm a little freaked out. Especially considering I've never seen this cat before this week! Is he new? Where did he come from? Why is he always sitting there? Like, what's the deal!?

Got a call Thursday afternoon from a local-ish credit union...apparently my long ago ex-boyfriend put me down as a secondary point of contact (without telling me!). He's delinquent on his payments & they can't get a hold of him. I politely told the woman I certainly am not in contact with him. She laughed & said she would make a note on the account. So, we'll just file that under most bizarre thing to happen to me this week // reasons he is definitely my ex.

And finally, a few Friday funnies...
What are you up to this weekend?
Are you a cat person, or do you agree they're plotting to kill us all? ;)
Like that hot Yoga.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my first 4 wheeler, which had no A/C.
I don't think I could make it anymore with no AC. I've been conditioned to my cushy, cool life. Haha.

The cat point made me chuckle... I used to be a firm believer that cats are actually demons, but my boyfriend is trying to convert me.
ReplyDeleteI hate when I get in a funk like that and just feel so unmotivated by everything! I'm sending positive vibes your way. Maybe try to shake up your schedule and plan something totally new to you, like a fitness class you've never tried, or spruce up your desk at work with a cute to-do list, or some plants? Sometimes a little shift helps :)

afloat on a full sea
Thanks Danielle, a fun weekend last weekend really snapped me out of it. Thankfully, or this week would have been a real drag.
DeleteThat call from the credit card company must have been pretty weird. O_O
ReplyDeleteAnd cats can be really cute or really um... crazy if you can call cats crazy. We have a kitten and she's really sweet and then she's really crazy about scratching and playing with our hands... It can get a little painful. :) I'm thankful that God made animals, and that they are kind of like really amazing entertainment.
I'm grateful he made them too, even cats I guess. ;)
DeleteYour weekend plans sound like they'll be a lot of fun! That cat is creepy and I say that as a cat lover :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, glad I'm not the only one who thinks that!!!
DeleteI am so messed up. I had to check 3 times before I came to work in jeans for Casual Friday. It just didnt feel like Friday.
ReplyDeleteI LOVEEEEEEE tacos - but I'm not a cilantro fan. I got some avocado chips the other day & excited about them & they tasted HORRIBLE when I got home & opened them up. Come to find out, they were seasoned with cilantro. EWWWW
I hear it's genetic, which means I must be adopted...the rest of the fam hates it, but I love it, bring it on!
Deletemmmm tacos, those look delish! dude i hate cats, there is this one in the neighborhood that is always around our house and i swear its because he knows i hate him
ReplyDeleteThat's how my friends cat is, he always wants to hang out near me. I joke he can sense fear & loathing & wants to annoy me!
Deletepsssh cats aren't out to get you ;) they are just curious!
ReplyDeletei prefer hard tacos but i definitely like your taco math! i do use those little corn tortilla things for quesadillas sometimes.
have a good weekend :)
Mmm, I bet they would make the perfect mini snack sized quesadilla.
DeleteHaha I thought of you & Kristy from Southern in Law when I bought them, and you saying that tacos should only come in hard shells. :)
I am definitely not a cat person. I had an evilllllllllllll cat when I was little (actually EVIL with a capital E-V-I-L!) so I'm definitely a dog person :P
ReplyDeleteThat cat is definitely a creeper!
I think we share the same math skills as your taco math sounds perfect to me!
That sounds like the worst, I don't blame you for being a dog person in the slightest. I think that would convert anyone!
DeleteTacos FTW. There are never enough taco pictures :) (and now we haven emoji, too :)).
ReplyDeleteWEIRD, your old boyfriend put you down as a contact and they call you when he's delinquent on his account? Uhm, NO!
RIGHT!? I assume he did it while we were still dating, but still, like, he probably should have mentioned that...
DeleteOMG that last e card...so true. I should print that out and pass it around the office! I grew up near Riverview Park so that's where I grew up running. I love it! I miss running on the trails there..don't get over nearly enough.
ReplyDeleteIt was my first time exploring there & I feel like there is so much more to see! I'm excited to go back.
DeleteBAHHA dead at the cat. I do NOT like cats. and I have one. <-- basically my life story. Alex has had cats his whole life (his mom is a legit crazy cat lady) and I wanted a pet when we first started dating and he told me I would just like anything furry and cuddly. I agreed. TOO BAD CATS AREN'T CUDDLY. She was SUCH a cute kitten but now she's a fat ugly cat and she's a total bitch - legit hunts me everyday. (thankfully she is very, very good with the kids which is the only reason I keep her around. Ryan will literally lay on top of her.)
ReplyDeleteOMG that's the worst. I would be so mad. My Dad had a cat when he married my Mom, that was like a million years old, she called it her red headed step cat and the cat finally died, my Mom was a little too happy about it!
DeleteThis week seriously threw me for such a loop! All day Thursday felt like Friday and it sucked really bad to wake up for work on Friday! At least it's the weekend now! And your trip to the park with the pup and your friend sounds so awesome, especially when there's a picnic involved! And I swear I could eat tacos all day everyday! So good! I hope you're having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley!
DeleteTacos are one of my favorite foods, there's so much different stuff you can put in them, I pretty much never get sick of them!
