Weekend Highlights : Ice ice baby

First things first, friends, hi, happy Monday. And time to get straight down to business. I already took to Facebook, but obviously need a larger sample size to conduct opinions on a pretty heated topic in the Sass house...so help a lady out here...leave a comment, help me prove I'm right.

Laundry...when is it "finished"?
A. When it's dried - aka the second it could logically be worn.
B. When it's folded & put away.

Now onto weekend shenanigans, hashtag style.

Laundry - when is it finished?
Chicken and waffles - syrup & hot sauce, or no?
Would you rather drink beer // cider from a glass or the bottle?

  1. I don't let myself cross "laundry" off the list until it's been folded & put away. Maybe I shouldn't even put it on the to do list because it's annoys me seeing it there all day long and it moves ever-so-slowly along all the stages of completion.
We had chicken & waffles this weekend too - Syrup all the way.

    1. Did you make your own chicken & waffles or buy it out? If so, how do you make the chicken? It's really not the same without GOOD fried chicken IMO.

  2. ugh laundry; i HATE it so much. I can get through the putting it in the machine, turning it on and even hanging it but then i seem to run out of steam and it sits in the basket for days.

    1. Haha that's my life & Mr. Sass wants to beat me over the head with the laundry basket!

  3. Yesterday was so much fun! Love the hashtags haha. Laundry is finished when it's folded & put away... therefore my laundry is never done. I don't mind the bottle!

    1. I actually kind of like drinking from the bottle - not that I won't drink from a glass.

  4. Laundry NEVER is finished for me... EVERRRRRRRR

    1. Hahaha, it's because by the end I'm warmed up & don't realize it's so cold!

  5. Laundry is done when it's folder and put away. That is just the rule in our house... but we also do our own laundry. I would only do Roger's laundry if he paid me... like $30 per load. My time is worth a lot.

    1. Ooh man, maybe we should do that. 'Cause I truly don't care if it sits in the basket until I wear it and make it dirty again. But he has work uniforms that probably shouldn't be wrinkly.

  6. The chicken and waffles look amazing...you got a whole lot of chicken! Yes to hot sauce and maple syrup!

Laundry is finished when it's folded and put away! It's so less stressful now that we have laundry in our house instead of going to the laundromat!

    1. I can't even imagine having to go to the laundromat! The freedom to toss a load in whenever and not have to babysit it is so convenient!

    1. It's not mine :(

I'm team it's done as soon as I could possibly put it on my body. GIRL, come do my laundry, I love to vacuum, I will do all your carpets!

  8. I'm pretty awful about laundry to be honest...I don't fold it or put it away until I start my next load and need the dryer lol! Either way it doesn't really bother me though, I'm not too picky about chores around our house. So, probably not the best person to ask. I'm curious about who's on what side though...

    1. That's literally my life. If it was up to me (and when I lived by myself) I never folded laundry, unless it was a fancy shirt or something. I just left it in the basket until I wanted to wear it again & then it went into the dirty basket afterwards. Mr. Sass is the resident neat freak.

  9. I am fine doing laundry but I hateeeeeeeee folding ridiculously full baskets of clothes so often time I'm done once it's dried and I kind of leave it sitting in the basket until I can find the energy to actually put it away.

I've never had chicken and waffles before and the combination TOTALLY confuses me, haha.

  10. Mmm that Chicken & Waffles looks good! I don't think laundry is done until it's folded and in the drawers/closet. BUT I have absolutely no issue with leaving it in the dryer! I take personal issue with removing it from the dryer and not folding it immediately. Our dryer is in our currently unfinished basement, so at the moment you can't just take it out and fold it right there.

    1. I don't think you would like my house. I definitely take it out of the dryer, carry it upstairs and then STILL don't fold it but just wear it out of the basket. Haha.

  11. You know, got as long as I have lived in the south I have NEVER had chicken and waffles!!! Great job on the icy run. Glad you were able to grab some Recovery beverages afterwards. Well deserved.
And I am totally in the minority here but being a mom of 4 kids (6 if you count my husband and puppy) laundry is done when it is dry. I am never caught up on laundry. Never ever.....

    1. Yeah - my definition of "done" is already pretty lax, but I'm thinking // hoping that Mr.Sass' will change too once we get a little further in life.

  12. I will say that MY laundry is finished as soon as it is dry enough to wear. Sometimes it hangs in the laundry room until I decide to look for it and wear it. Some days it never gets put in the closet or dresser. Anxious to hear your theory on this.

    1. Haha, MY laundry is also finished as soon as it's dry enough to wear! Mr. Sass disagrees!

  13. The snow/ice is pretty! There's always a basket of clean laundry in my house. So if by definition it isn't finished until put away -- then I NEVER finish. That's a little depressing! I have yet to try chicken and waffles. I wouldn't use syrup though. No.can.do.syrup. Thanks for linking, Jessie!

    1. Never had chicken and waffles? I always think of it as such a southern staple! If you get the chance, you should make someone else order it so you can sneak a bite and see if you like it!
